this song was deemed inappropirate after 9/11. what is 9/11 ish about this lyrics?
:
I am still living with your ghost
Lonely and dreaming of the west coast
I dont want to be your downtime
I dont want to be your stupid game
With my big black boots and an old suitcase
I do believe Ill find myself a new place
I dont want to be the bad guy
I dont want to do your sleepwalk dance anymore
I just want to see some palm trees
Go and try and shake away this disease
We can live beside the ocean
Leave the fire behind
Swim out past the breakers
Watch the world die
I am still dreaming of your face
Hungry and hollow for all the things you took away
I dont want to be your good time
I dont want to be your fall-back crutch anymore
Ill walk right out into a brand new day
Insane and rising in my own weird way
I dont want to be the bad guy
I dont want to do your sleepwalk dance anymore
I just want to feel some sunshine
I just want to find some place to be alone...

"Santa Monica" inappropriate? Interesting.

Must be the "Watch the world die" part. Everything dies eventually. That's not offensive, just sadly true.

Ah, people with dirty minds. They are the ones that try to mess it up for the rest of us by trying to pass laws that control morality.

"Watch the world die" could have some sort of suicide link, if you look for it.

"Hungry and hollow" could be an illusion for sex, in that you are saying you are trying to fill your hollow genitals with his genital, but again you have to be reaching.

"I don't want to be your good time" seems to be the most objectionable. A slang word for a prostitute is "a good time girl." This line could also allude to you being tired of being his way to have good time through sex.

I would rate your lyrics PG-13 at most, more likely just PG. Compared to what kind of topics rappers are covering your lyrics are tame. You should bring that issue up with those that are trying to censor you and give them a copy of some popular songs with really nasty lyrics. I think about 50% of the rap songs on the market (probably more) will fill your needs. If the people trying to censor you say that they won't let their students listen to such objectionable music then ask them how they got the FCC's permission to start jamming commercial radio stations. Because until they do that and get those songs pulled from stores and taken off line then there is no way to escape them.

i think that its the whole idea about dreaming of the west coast, watching your world die, living thru 9/11 and wanting to start over

Probably the line about watching the world die

i dont think it's 9/11ish at all, i'm not reading anything about a plane crashing into buildings or anything about terrorists.
it has NOTHING to do with 9/11 at all, it's just a song about starting over, so it seems.

Who deemed it inappropriate? Last I heard one of the main rights in this country is the right of free speech.
