I think it's a good idea, it's a good bed time story, just kidding. 613 commandments wooa! That alot I though there was only 10. I think it's good to know everything you can from the Bible and I rather have someone tell me about it, then reading it. I don't think it's a man's responsibility man or women, and what do you mean learn how to be good women I think the Bible is talking to all of us, man and women. By the way your looking cute well your avatar anyways.

That is a wonderful idea, sweetie. Women must learn the word of God more than men. A man reading the bible to his woman is quite helpful for a good marriage or in a case of relationship a solid one.

I think that is a wonderful idea sweetheart!
I would love to learn more about our religion and you could even read it to me while I cleaned the house or cooked dinner!
I'm sure the kids could benefit from hearing the Bible also.
As head of the household you should not only read it to us but demonstrate good behavior so we can in turn, follow!
XOXO
p.s.
Are there really 613??
Well, if you said it it must be true baby....will you teach them to me?

613? There are only 10 Commandments in The Bible.
Someone needs to read YOU The Bible Sandstorm.
You're not of God's ways at all.
Not one bit...

I've read the bible. It's not all that exciting in my mind. If my husband was going to read it to me, I would request that he read it at bedtime. It'll help me fall asleep faster. That way I'm well rested the next day and I can perform my wifely duties to the best of my ability.
Seriously, though, I would not care to be "taught" the bible as I am not Christian. I have my own beliefs due to my own spiritual quest I started when I was a teenager. I do not impose my religious beliefs on anyone, and I do not appreciate when anyone else's are imposed on me.

I think that as a family it's very important to have daily devotions. My demonination has what we call Family Night every Monday night. This is a chance for families to get together without being bothered by friends and catch up on each other's lives. I was always told that the family that prays together stays together. It's important for the husband to lead a household so yes, I believe a husband should read the Bible to his family.

If he wants to. But he would just be wasting his breath cause I don't exactly find the Bible interesting. By the way, son, there's only 10 commandments...
And you just broke one of them- the one about lying or however the heck it goes. Your lie was that there are 613 commandments. I feel sorry for you...

Do I think it would be a good idea if men read the Bible to their wives? perhaps, but the bible is also a good heavy object for a woman to smack a man in the mouth with. at least that's why I keep one around the house, I don't know about you.

I think that reading the Bible to his family is the responsibility of the head of the household. Not, just reading the Bible, but setting the example that he wants his children to live by.
