My husband is just that sort of person....and it would seem, after further review, that I've made it some sort of unconscious habit in the past of attaching myself to people like that....at least it's in the past. The people I associate with now are....silver linings to those black clouds :)

Yes there is. I'm always edgy when he's around. It takes too much effort not to be dragged into his abyss of self loathing. I Iearned a long time ago that I can't drag him out of it. Trying to cheer him up his exhausting!

oh lord yes. My ex husband. I hate to say it, but this guy seems to enjoy bad luck. It's like he savors every minute, and then commits it to memory, so he can tell it over and over and over to anyone who will listen. And if you're close enough to him, the fallout gets you too, sometimes.

Yes, a young woman. She seems unable to control her emotions and refuses to get help. There's only so much you can do for someone who won't help themself.
