I remember when i was in highschool which wasn't too long ago, in 2000 when i was a junior, $20 would get me a tank of gas , 6 pack of beers and a late night snack at Jack in the Box. Now a $20 won't even get close to filling my tank. Auld Lang Syne....Good Ol' Days. But yea.........May 15th, DON"T BUY GAS, if you need, then BUY IT BEFORE or AFTER. DON'T PURCHASE GAS ON MAY 15th.

I remember when 10.00 would last me a week in my 69 Charger RT 440 and I had a lead foot. And price wars at two stations by us at .26/gallon...boy, was that a long time ago.
Gas out day may work for a while but the biggest problem is capacity.....the oil companies can't produce more product (so they say) because they're at the production limit of the refineries and gov't red tape is keeping them from building new ones plus all the various blends they have to produce because of EPA restrictions....can't sell the wrong blend no matter how bad it's needed. So they'll just sit back and laugh at the profits and say "Call your congressman" Well, it's up to the public to complain loud and long to your congressman or senator...that's they only thing they understand is heat and not getting re-elected. If not buying gas for one day works, imagine what one phone call from millions of constituents will do. Big oil has too many in their hip pocket with money to get elected and they listen to the money--it's time they listened to the votes. Cut the red tape for refineries and get the public to conserve a little and problem will go away. It's the poorer people that suffer the most.
Good day to all, Paul

I remember gas wars back in the early 60's where you could get gas for 10 cents a gallon. That's the cheapest I have ever paid. It was normal to pay 19 cents a gallon back then.

I could also get a pack of cigarettes out of a machine for 23 cents. You put in a quarter, and they had slit the plastic film on each pack and inserted 2 pennies.

Didn't make much money back then, but it sure went a lot farther. good luck

I remember when it took $20 to fill both tanks on my 84 ranger pickup. Now $20 don't even move the gas gauge in my Jeep.

I agree, let's try it!
Please Don't Buy Gas on May 15, 2007
NO GAS...On May 15th 2007
Don't pump gas on may 15th
...in April 1997, there was a "gas out" conducted nationwide in
protest of gas prices. Gasoline prices dropped 30 cents a gallon
overnight.

On May 15th 2007, all internet users are to not go to a gas station in
protest of high gas prices. Gas is now over $3.00 a gallon in
most places.

There are 73,000,000+ American members currently on the internet
network, and the average car takes about 30 to 50 dollars to fill up.

If all users did not go to the pump on the 15th, it would take
$2,292,000,000.00 (that's almost 3 BILLION) out of the oil
companys pockets for just one day, so please do not go to the gas
station
on May 15th and lets try to put a dent in the Middle Eastern oil
industry for at least one day.

If you agree (which I cant see why you wouldnt) resend this to all
your contact list. With it saying, ''Don't pump gas on May 15th"
