If you have the fonts tabbed correctly AND you have a "wheel" in middle of your mouse, hold down the CTRL key and roll the wheel on your mouse.

See if you can find the Text Size or Font Size section of your program. Often it'll be in the top bar somewhere under View or Options or something...
in Internet Explorer select View - Text Size - Larger or Largest or something like that and your words will be bigger

Is it just in certain programs, or did your desktop change as well? You can change your desktop properties to see if your resolution was messed with. If it's just certain programs, like Internet Explorer, do you have a mouse with the scroll button in the middle? Holding the "CTRL" key down and rolling it one direction changes the font size.
Edit: Blah. I shouldn't have paused to watch TV, lol.

Assuming you're talking about your web browser:
If you're using FireFox, press CTRL-+. As you might guess, CTRL-- makes it smaller.
In Internet Explorer, click on View->Text Size.
