I did it in Ohio last year and we just had to wait for the court date once all the paperwork was filed. A think it was a couple of months.

I don't know what the laws in Texas are, you'd have to call the courts there. Divorce laws, and waiting times, vary from state to state. You could call a divorce attorney, and ask.
