How long does an eviction notice give you to move out? How long does it normally take to recieve the eviction papers after the landlord files them with the justice of the peace?

The time length of your actual eviction can be as short as 7 days and as long as 90. Most are for 30. For an eviction shorter than 30 days the landlord has to have an extreme reason for evicting you, such as danger of great bodily harm or death to other tenants. It normally takes 3 to 4 months to get through court on a general eviction. For an emergency eviction, it can be as quick as 3 to 5 days, but usually takes 10.
