Bologna!

What ever good qualities a man has coming into a relationship, he's bound to have as many bad ones that will work your nerves over the long run. Why not look for compatibility? This way, his bad qualities along with yours have a better chance of surviving.

By the way, what ever he is when you meet him ............... you're gonna try to change before you marry him.

Talking about x relationships too much.. it lets me know that he either still has a thing for them or is looking to unload a sad story about how HE was done wrong. (when we both know that it take two to screw somthing up )

2nd thing is someone who lies... if they are caught in a few lies there will be many more to come ... true love should consist of honesty and trust.

I would look for if they are controlling and if they have a bad temper cause usually those two things lead to an abusive man.

Poor financial health - unemployed, unable to support himself, no savings at all. Seriously, if I wanted to support someone, I'd have another child.

Emotional immaturity - if I wanted to be a parent, I 'd have had another child.

any kind of substance abuse, whether the substance is legal (like alcohol) or illegal (like drugs) because -- no matter what the politically correct folks may say -- this indicates a serious level of self-involvement;
and
money issues, whether cheapness or reckless spending. it is a telltale sign of emotional immaturity.

I knew that I'd never marry an alcoholic or an abusive person. All else is workable.

Avoid selfisness - anything else can be tolerated as long as this is never a problem.
