If you have never read it, To Kill A MockingBird, The Martian Chronicles, Patricia Cornwell's Kay Scarpetta series is excellent, and kathy Reichs has a similar series out as well. John Grisham has some great books, but I think one of my favorties by him is The Rainmaker.
Happy Reading!

Ray Bradbury, I can say that anything by him I'm sure you´ll enjoy, his most popular novels are "451 Fahrenheit", and "Something Wicked this Way Comes".
If you like short stories Edgar Allan Poe, Robert Dahl.
Poetry: Emily Dickinson, Walt Whitman.
Classics you shouldn´t miss: Dickens "Great Expectations" and Shakespeare "Macbeth".
American classics: Hemingway "The Old Man and the Sea", Fitz Gerald "The Great Gatsby".
I can think of many others, but these would be my top choices.
