I MYSELF AM NOT A PARIS HILTON FAN. I DON'T AGREE WITH THE WAY SHE CARRIES HERSELF, AND SHE IS NOT A GOOD INFLUENCE ON OUR YOUNG GIRLS. BUT THAT IS BESIDE THE POINT. THE QUESTION IS-SHOULD PARIS HILTON SERVE JAIL TIME? I DO BELIEVE THAT IF YOUR GOING TO BREAK THE LAW YOU SHOULD SERVE TIME FOR IT. I DON'T CARE IF YOUR RICH AND FAMOUS, JUST BECAUSE YOU HAVE THE MONEY DOESN'T MAKE ANY ONE PERSON BETTER THAN THE NEXT. IF YOU DO THE CRIME DO THE TIME. SO THEY SAY. IF IT WERE ME AND SOME OTHER PERSON, DO YOU HONESTLY BELIEVE THEY WOULD TURN THE OTHER CHEEK? NOW BE HONEST WITH THIS QUESTION. YOU CAN STILL BE HEAD OVER HILLS FOR PARIS HILTON, BUT YOU CAN ALSO DISAGREE WITH HER ACTIONS. IF GOVENOR SCHWARZENEGGER GETS INVOLVED AND SAVES HER FROM GOING TO JAIL, IN MY OPINION HE IS NO BETTER THAN SHE IS.

If she had been middle class, she would have gone to jail long ago. It is undemocratic for rich people to have more rights than the rest of us.

She should do the time... in general population! She has no concept of what real life is like and perhaps if she were to spend 45 days with other people, she would maybe be a little more humble when she gets out.

I think that she is getting special accomodations by being separated. Heck, doing 45 days in your own cell is not much punishment.

My philosophy is don't do the crime if you can't do the time. She should not have been out with a suspended license. I think for a drunk driving probation violation she is getting off easy. This is probably the only way to show her the severity of her actions.

There shouldn't even be a debate on whether paris is guilty, or for that matter be priviliged of not serving jail time just because she is a media icon. I agree 100%, the law is the law and that applies to every citizen and person living in this country.

She should definitely do jail time. It would be very unjust if she got pardoned for her suspended license after her DUI incident. Just an extra comment about the whole letter to Schwarzenegger... You don't make a good role model trying to get out of a sentence from a suspended license you got from a DUI.

Paris should do the 45 days...but I also think she should be escorted by police to the scene of a drunken driving accident , visit the morgue, spend time in a therapy setting where people lives have changed drastically due to a drunken driver . Attend a funeral of a family who has lost a loved one caused by a reckless drunken driver. And when she has done the 45 days... she should ((((humbly)))) do a fundraiser, where money is donated to support a cause such as MADD.
((((((There should be no pardon !)))))

45 days is fine. Being separated is not. Might as well stick her in a hotel solo / house arrest.

Everyone of these "celebrities" that a majority of people don't give 2shits about need to learn that it's the public that gives them their fame.

Negative publicity should not be rewarded. If she backs out of jailtime, imbeciles need to stop watching her fkn shows / buying her ****.

She should serve jail time for being found guilty of breaking the law.

i completley agree. She broke probabtion and now that it's become very serious she's crying for help from govenor schwarzenegger. I don't think he should get involved.

She should do jail time, just because you are rich doesn't mean that you are above the law.

i really hope she does serve the time, because she deserves it, i also hope she gets roughed up a little. ;)

i wouldn't be surprised if at the last minute she doesnt though.

rich people always get away with things.
