Needs a cotton buffing wheel to get it back to perfect mirror. Chrome/metal shop can do it. Few mintues while you stand there.
Otherwise a microfiber towel, elbow grease, and some good automotive polishes. Maybe even mixed in with like Turtlewax chrome cleaner (50:50).

Don't take it to a shop. A good but messy ,method to polish chrome is a can of Coca Cola and steel wool. I'm not joking pour some coke on the chrome and let it sit for a minute pour some more on and then buff it out with steel wool. If you don't believe me Google Clean Chrome with Coca Cola. I'm serious.

You really need a buffing wheel to make it appear perfect. It would be extremely helpful if you can take this part off the guitar. Then take it to most any body shop and ask them to help you out.

A soft cloth, some cigarette ashes and elbow grease makes a great super-fine polishing rouge. Usually where there are steel guitars, there are cigarette ashes.

in case you may sense the scratches along with your fingernail, then there's no thank you to repair it. those products could get replaced or rechromed. it is oftentimes greater inexpensive to purchase a replace chrome piece as unfavorable to having it re-chromed.
