Against all odds by Phil Collins

How can I just let you walk away, just let you leave without a trace
When I stand here taking every breath with you, ooh
You're the only one who really knew me at all

How can you just walk away from me,
when all I can do is watch you leave
Cos we've shared the laughter and the pain and even shared the
tears
You're the only one who really knew me at all

So take a look at me now, oh there's just an empty space
And there's nothing left here to remind me,
just the memory of your face
Ooh take a look at me now, well there's just an empty space
And you coming back to me is against all odds and that's what I've
got to face

I wish I could just make you turn around,
turn around and see me cry
There's so much I need to say to you,
so many reasons why
You're the only one who really knew me at all

So take a look at me now, well there's just an empty space
And there's nothing left here to remind me, just the memory of your
face
Now take a look at me now, cos there's just an empty space

But to wait for you, is all I can do and that's what I've got to face
Take a good look at me now, cos I'll still be standing here
And you coming back to me is against all odds
It's the chance I've gotta take

Take a look at me now

"Leaving on a Jet Plane" is a song written by John Denver in 1967 during a layover at an airport in Washington and recorded by the Mitchell Trio that year. Others covered the song in 1967, including Spanky & Our Gang and Peter, Paul and Mary on Album 1700. It did not become a hit until Peter, Paul and Mary released it as a single in 1969. It turned out to be their biggest (and final) hit.

Trains and Boats and Planes by Billy J Kramer and the Dakotas ..(an old 60s Brit invasion band)

the song will probably only work if you two had strong feelings for each other

"Friends" (are Friends Forever) by Michael W. Smith.

It's my pick for the best. We sang it at graduation. There was not a dry eye in the entire class.

Packing up the dreams God planted
In the fertile soil of you;
Can't believe the hope He's granted
Means a chapter in your life is through.

But we'll keep you close as always;
It won't even seem you've gone,
'Cause our hearts in big and small ways
Will keep the love that keeps us strong.

And friends are friends forever
If the Lord's the Lord of them.
And a friend will not say never
'Cause the welcome will not end.
Though it's hard to let you go,
In the Father's hands we know--
That a lifetime's not too long to live as friends.

With the faith and love God's given
Springing from the hope we know
We will pray the joy you'll live in
Is the strength that now you show.

But we'll keep you close as always;
It won't even seem you've gone,
'Cause our hearts in big and small ways
Will keep the love that keeps us strong.

And friends are friends forever
If the Lord's the Lord of them.
And a friend will not say never
'Cause the welcome will not end.
Though it's hard to let you go,
In the Father's hands we know
That a lifetime's not too long to live as friends.

No a lifetime's not too long
To live as friends....

aaww....i am so sorry to hear that...i had that plenty of times as a kid...and each time it was so hard....but what we did....we made something very special for each other...not store bought...but made from scratch...like a bracelet or a card...or something that your friend likes....that way, you and your friend will have something special from each other that you can actually see and touch, and not just hear....but do what ever you guys decide...and i hope that you guys still keep in touch after the move....:) but if you want a song...my high school senior song was "miles apart" by yellowcard...and it talks about friends being miles apart...good song...:) i hope this helps...:)

Fort Minor: "where'd you go, I miss you so", and that other song by Vitamin C; I think it's called "we'll always be together". They used to play it at a lot of high school graduations when it first came out.

The Vitamin C song is called Graduation (Friends Forever).
