Whenever you look at a picture of younger people at a party or at a bar and they are taking pictures, they always have their drinks up as to show them off and to show that "yes, I'm drinking too." I don't understand that. Why do people intentionally hold their drinks up to their chest and out when taking a picture? It looks ridiculous.

So why do you have to "toast" to the camera or the person taking the picture? what is the point of that? Some of you guys dont make sense. I feel like people think they need to show their drinks in pictures because they want to say "see?? look at me? I'm cool because I go out and drink all the time!"

It is to show cheers and give a silent toast and it kind of shows they are happy.

Giving the "cheers" sign is like wishing someone well.

I think they mostly think it makes them look like they're a "fun" person.
