According to the sources I've read, the Ghost in The Shell series ends after 2 and everything's summed up with the movie, Solid State Society. Like most animes of this genre, everything's tight lipped and there are no actual definites. My opinion? Give it another couple months and look for it in the magazines. If there's anything out there, they'll report it ASAP for the diehard fans.

At this moment there is no word of a third season. However, the feature-length film "Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex: Solid State Society" is already out on DVD in Japan and is slated for a US release in July.

I read on a French anime magazine ( back in 2004 ) that there would be a 3rd season for GITS SAC. But I'm still waiting for it.
