What do you think about Paris Hilton going to jail? Do you think she will finally learn her lesson that the the world doesn't revolve around her and that just because she's rich doesn't mean she can break the law? Also what do you think of her asking Arnold Scharzeneger(sp?) to please pardon her? Also what do you think of her mother's rudeness?

Just to let everyone know, Arnold's office was contacted. His secretary said that he only gives pardons in extreme cases. When asked if this was an extreme case the secretary burst out laughing.

Goodness, she needs to grow up!!! But I think your question is very interesting, so I will keep what I think down to the point:

What do you think about Paris Hilton going to jail? ~ I think she will make a prime example for the army of little girls who want to be "like Paris". This is what happens when you do not obey the law of the Land you live on!!! She is going to jail! Great!!! She is a spoiled little brat who needs to be shown a lesson.

Do you think she will finally learn her lesson that the the world doesn't revolve around her and that just because she's rich doesn't mean she can break the law? ~ I do NOT believe she will learn anything from this situation, because unfortunately she is too spoiled by her parents. Would you believe that having all the money in the world your folks would allow you to drop out of the high school?! I would lay my bones in my daughter's way if she would ever do that!!! You have heard/seen/read/ Kathy's (her mother) reaction to the judge's decision which to me was very rude. With a "support" like this Paris will learn nothing at all.

Also what do you think of her asking Arnold Scharzeneger(sp?) to please pardon her? ~ This is so lame I cannot even find notmal words for all of Paris' BS in regards of her request to the Governor, or this MySpace.com "free Paris" signature collection. She needs to go to jail because she broke the law!!! No exuces! And Governor would definately not sign for that because he did not sign pardon of Tookie who got executed, so if he will pardon little white blonde girl he might get "attention" of people like Rosie O'Donnell and Rev. Al Sharpton. Who the hell wants these guys on your a**?

Also what do you think of her mother's rudeness? ~ You know, answering question in Y!A I was always about "oh, her poor parents", or something like this. But after Kathy's comments I say, what the hell!!! I was a single mother of a baby girl (Zomba_RU in here) who ended up in Varsity and with A grades all the way through school and University. If Kathy allowed Paris to drop out of high school and
"eventually" earn GED, I would say "hell with her and Paris"!

Let her go to jail and hopefully learn a lesson or two!!!

Great Question! Worthy a star!

I think its great that Paris is going to jail because it will definetely give her a taste of life and how cruel it can be to you. I don't think she'll ever learn her lesson I mean with the way she is she's probably going to come out saying that the experience changed her life and most likely make orange suits into a fashion must have just like those ankle bracelet things that I've seem already been worn by other celebrities. Yeah right about getting herself pardoned she's still a U.S. citizen and she broke the law, she just needs to learn that if you brake the law whether your rich or not you're still going to jail. I haven't heard anything about her mom, but I'm sure she's just as stupid as Paris is- Like mother, like daughter.

She acted irresponsibly and endangered the general public by driving drunk and then violating her probation terms several times. It's also important to note here that she was behind the wheel of a rather heavy vehicle, a Bentley I think. If the driver of such a heavy vehicle loses control and ploughs into a crowd, there would be carnage. A vehicle like that is as heavy as a small military tank, except it accelerates faster and reaches a higher top speed. Very dangerous if operated by an unsafe driver.

Mrs. Hilton did not raise her daughter well and failed to teach her fundamental values. As a mother, she failed on all fronts. The bottomline is, as Jackie Kennedy Onassis said, that if you fail at raising your children well then it doesn't really matter what else you accomplish in life. And that lesson certainly applies here. Mrs. Hilton is an example of how not to raise your daughter.

I very much doubt that there will be a pardon. Why should the Governor risk political fall-out from giving personal favors to someone who clearly broke the law and did not even try to redeem herself? If he pardons her, then he needs to pardon all repeat-offenders. It's really a matter of principle. Because what will apply to one person, should then also apply to others.
Plus, Paris Hilton has not contributed in any way, shape or form to the betterment of society. It's not that she has done a lot of good in this world or helped people. There are no personal qualities or achievements that could be used as an argument for mitigating cirumstances.

I love Paris Hilton a lot-but I have nothing to do, nor her. Even though she's rich, her money can't control everything. Of course, she'll learn her lesson well. Imagine, an elegant princess' turn into a prisoner for 1 1/2 months, living in a small jail without television, shower, or anything that is even smaller in her closet! And, this maybe her most memorable nightmare in her entire life. By the way, about asking Arnold to protect her, maybe she'll be pardoned. And besides, its just the first time she did that and it must be a warning. Its a good thing that nobody was hurt-even herself. And so, that's it. Sorry for her..

She'll probably learn her lesson because a girl like her who hasn't spent a single minute of her life to this point without being in a state of complete luxury will probably go absolutely nuts from an hour in prison.

Asking the governor is just a big laugh and is infuriating just that she has the nerve to try and utilize her status to obtain leniency when it's very clear that what she has done should warrant the sentance she has been handed.

Her mother is just angry and spouting off. They believe that their enormous wealth should grant them some sort of special status within society above and beyond the normal citizen.

The kind of lifestyle she lives makes it impossible for her to realize the world doesn't revolve around her. The celebrities that do things like go to Africa and see the unbelievable suffering and do charitable work with such causes actually gain some perspective. It has a lot to do with upbringing. She doesn't know any life other than the one she leads. She's always had unlimited wealth.

The fact that she is who she is shouldn't make a difference. She had her license suspended but ignored that fact. She claims she wasn't aware but as we all know, ignorance isn't a valid defence. There is precedent for such verdicts. It isn't as though the judge handed some ultra harsh, uncommon sentance to her because society wants to see her taught a lesson. It was appropriate given the circumstances.

You can only hope it changes her outlook but at the end of the day, who really cares? If she wants to play the "I'm in a different league than everyone else" game and continue to behave as such, she can face the consequences of her actions, just like everyone else.

She won't be beat up, famous people in prison are segregated from the general population for that very reason. Arnold wouldn't even dream of pardoning her, that would destroy him if he gave special treatment to a wealthy celebrity. The people who idolize and look up to Paris Hilton are so ignorant and should really give their head a shake.

OMG! This is getting bugging me out it;s like Paris cry me a already....First she's a role model for young girls....riiiiiiiiiight....and last I heard she was to pretty to go to jail.....hahahaha...that one was really funny. She knew what she was doing, and now she's trying to get off by playing the "I'm a star card" on your not.And that whole pardon thing, that's just wrong. People have to do time all the time what makes her "special"? She can't sing, She can't act, I mean even other famous people are making fun of her. I don't even know if she's going to learn anything after this, one can hope, but you never know.. and hasn't her mother always been rude...lol.. I think she should go to jail, do the 45 days and be glad it's not 45 months....GOD!

I don't think going to jail will make her change, she may be a more careful but in the end she will always be "Paris Hilton". I happened to be at a friends house when I heard she was going to jail and I can honestly say that every single person there was happy she was being sent. Also heard the Judge who sentenced her got a standing ovation at his church on Sunday! Asking for pardon from Arnold is ridiculous, she should just suck it up, do the time and I'm sure in the end she'll come out more famous than ever. Sad.

probably not. Don't you think the Hilton's have bribed the judge, sherriff, whoever with free room & food at any hotel at any time? Remember money talks no matter where you live or who you are. She wouldn't do time even if she took someones life. Thats just the way things work in this country. Remember O.J.?

I dont think she's acting that way because she's rich. I think everybody, no matter how much money they have, is breaking the law so she aint thinking she special. She's not gonna learn the lesson ya'll think she's condemned to learn. Right now the world DOES revolve around her and I know if I had what she had I would feel the same way. And when you in your life and you get in trouble, you use what you got, you find the hook up if you can and she had one. Ofcourse if you were aquainted with another celebrity GOVERNOR, you would try to work it out too! And about her mother's rudeness, every REAL mother is going to be rude when it's about her daughter!

i think that its awesome that shes going to jail. she was asking for it when she still drove with a suspended licence. i mean, who does that? and i dont think that she will learn anything from her lock up. in fact, i think that she will do something more stupider once she comes out. and her asking armold to pardon her is so stupid! i hope that arnold will just ignore it or just add like 10 years over that 45 days. her mother is just like her in a sense. thats why she turned out like that. i hope they put her mother in jail with her too just for being rude. rich people shouldnt think that they get special treatment just because they are rich!
