YES, I THINK SHE SHOULD!

It possibly will be a humbling and educational experience for her. She will find out that she is no better than the rest of us.

But, Paris and her mother think that just because they are 'rich and powerful', the laws of this country don't apply to them. This is the way the very rich behave. They have always looked down on us lesser folk. 45 days is a paltry sentence. The rest of us 'lesser' folk would have gotten 90 to 180 days behind bars. Her best bet would be to take her punishment and live with it. I just hope that they put her in 'General Population'.

But, let us look at it this way: If they give in and let her have her way, then every law that is broken will become pointless if it goes to trial. The preamble of the Constitution of the United States of America does say that 'We all are created equal' does it not. Because if Paris can get away with it, then the rest of us can get away with it. This will happen, not only in California, but is all 50 States and the outlying Territories. Everything since the very first amendment will become null and void.

What would really be worse... 45 days in jail... or... 180 days community service? The community service would be to pick up trash along the highways at least "a whole" 5-hours per day. A say 5 hours because we don't want to kill the little darling. Maybe by doing that she'll get some kind of awakening as to what work is really like. And she'll be in that hot sun.
Oh, and she gets to ware no makeup.
After all, Martha Stewart did her time.

Hell Yeah!!!

All of her supporters are acting if it was some great injustice and that she didn't have a chance. Reasons for going to jail for Paris Hilton:

1. Committed two driving offenses, putting anyone on the roads at risk.
2. It is not a harsh punishment.
3. If she had attended a court appointed driving school, she wouldn't be going to jail.

Blaming others won't help, I hope she takes charge of her actions.

I know people who have routinely gotten D.U.I.s. One fella' wrecked three cars in less then a year, on a suspended license. Police had to be called to the scene and property damage was present. The most he got was weekends. Show up friday evening and released sunday evening. I don't much care for Paris Hilton, she's just a teeny bopper. But I have never in my life seen 45 days in jail with her history. And I have seen some crazy people in my day.

She needs to learn a lesson, girl like her are spoiled there whole lives and feel like they can get away with anything and everything. So even tho alot of other celebs have done alot worse maybe they will all relize after paris gose to jail that they should crack down on the celebs when they do something wrong. They all seem to feel like they are special in some way and feel like they can push the limits.

Paris needs to go to jail, and learn her lesson. In my opion.

If you do the crime you should do the time.
Actually they are being very lenient with her because she is a HILTON. I know people after driving with an suspended license, and showed up to court late be put in jail, do community service and be placed on probation. I just can't believe this is making Headline News, when our occupation in IRAQ should be making front page everyday.

Sending Paris to jail just makes the whole justice system look bad and it is completely unfair to a remarkable citizen of this country.
She did wrong but jail time is not appropriate and everyone knows it.

She should be held responsible for her actions. A judge sentenced her to jail and by all rights she has the right to appeal that decision. People let's give the legal system a chance to do it's job. If she can legally get out of her sentence....more power to her.

Don't hate her because she is rich, famous and beautiful. She has the same rights you have.

Yeah, I think she needs to be confined during the appeals process. If she is going to whine to the Gov to get out, I think she presents a flight risk. She may leave the country to prevent going to jail.
