I like the name Griffin for a little boy.. What is your opinion??

I really hate the name griffin reminds me of legendary creature with the body of a lion and the head and wings of an eagle.
I picture a boy named Griffin or Griff as he would be called getting the crap beat out of him everyday in school . Who then grows up to be the office boy or the golf caddy at the local country club.

Sounds like a gargoyle on the side of a stone edifice.
Sure, it's cute for a little boy... but the little boy is going to grow up, and I would not choose someone with this name to be my doctor, lawyer, or insurance agent.
Edit... sorry, it doesn't "sound like" a gargoyle. It IS a gargoyle:

I like it too............look on the internet to see pictures of Griffins and be sure you like what they look like 'cause if you choose this name, everyone will get you Griffins on EVERYTHING!!!

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!! Don't do it. I know pwople who called their son Griffin, I thought they were the only people crazy enough to think it up. I always said it reminds me of one of those evil little flying creatures from Lord of the Rings. Think of your child. You can do so much better than that. That's my 2 cents worth.
