Mostly because Iraq's crude oil output is still pathetically low. Iraq has copious supplies of crude oil, but it remains in the ground. The condition of Iraq's oil infrastructure was very bad, and billions of dollars need to be spent to bring it back into a condition which will provide for decent output. Hence, no real additional crude oil is coming to the market from Iraq.

Perhaps it was partly for oil, but I think that the President thought he would finish the job his Dad started! When we drove the Iraqi army from Kuwait with such ease, maybe our current President thought it would be a nice way to make a name for himself for the history books & we could also get the oil as a bonus. The gas prices are high simply because the oil companies are making enormous profits & they know they had better get it now before a new President, one with a conscience, takes office & puts a halt to the rip off of the public.

it somewhat is observed as furnish and demand. Do you have any concept how the loose marketplace works? Do you have any concept how crude oil is priced? If no longer, permit me attempt to grant you a speedy rationalization. First the increasing fee of gas expenses precise now's via hypothesis. once you purchase oil interior the commodities marketplace you're figuring out to purchase futures. To simplify that, you're pricing the oil just about 2 months in improve earlier delivery. hence you recognize the fee will bypass up months in improve. 2d, in case you haven't any longer observed there are 2 international places interior the international observed as China and India. those 2 international places are becoming at an relatively speedy %. and that they the two are utilising extra and extra potential by the day. submit to in suggestions, just about 3 billion human beings stay in China and India. via fact call for is up the fee is going up via fact materials are decrease. I wouldn't mistake the corporate slaves for doing the right thing like giving the sheeple cheap prices at the pump. Absolute power corrupts dude. It gets worse under facsism not better. His name is King George, not President, not a public servant. It's King George and he is a puppet for the bankers, oil barrons and the military industrial complex.

Because we have oilmen in the top two political leadership offices of our Country. Wake up and smell the stench!
Do you really think they want oil prices to go down?
Republicans say what is good for business is good for America. The truth is what is good for business is good for their wallets...BECAUSE THEY OWN THE FRIGGIN' BUSINESSES!!!

Because some dummy did not think the insurgents or the terrorists would damage the oil wells. They are not fully operational yet, that could possibly be some more of that shoddy Haliburton construction.
