PART ONE......The Surprise Picnic

It was the lusty month of May....Sunshine MacGillicutty's favorite month......she loved the flowers,the warmth....and yes!!! By God..... she loved the lust! Being the lady interest of Matt Dillon, U.S.Marshal, all was in fine form on THAT count. Yep, she and Matt were young and in love and incapable of staying apart for more than a few hours. Why, just (2.) last night, she had told him about her life prior to coming to Dodge......" After my husband died, I was alone quite a bit." Matt snuggled her....." You're (3) not alone any more, SunnyMac."

On this fine Tuesday, she had stopped doing her chores...it was just TOO beautiful a day to be mending a fence or doing laundry. Soooooooooooo, she decided to surprise Matt and ride into town with a picnic basket of food .....lunch was going to be wonderful. As she rode into town, Doc was just coming out of Delmonico's with Newley. "Well, hello, Sunshine. How are you this fine day?" They exchanged pleasantries and then Sunshine turned to go in Matt's office. Newly and Doc waited until she was in his office before they started laughing.
Doc: "Well, I don't know what kind of SANDwich he'll be eating, but I can guarantTEE what's for dessert!!" Doc and Newley gave each other a head butt and started walking away. Newley: "You know, Doc? Speaking of dessert, you sure have been keeping pretty steady company withLadyLinda. How's that going, hmmm?" Doc: "None of your damned business, that's how it's going!" .....and off Doc went. Newley made a mental note to find someone to hook up with. His buddies were disappearing right and left.

Meanwhile, in Matt's office, Sunshine had crept up behind hand. She stuck her hand in his back....(5) "It's the end of the line, baby!" Matt jumped and turned around. "I wish to GOD you wouldn't sneak up on me like that!"
Sunshine: " Fiddle dee dee....you are SUCH a wuss!" Matt : "I am NOT a wuss. You, on the other hand are a NUT!!! Just so happens I like nuts." Sunshine smiled that Southern coy smile of hers........" You do, huh. How much?" Matt put his arms around her and kissed her.....as their lips parted......"THAT'S how much."

That was ALL Sunshine needed. She jumped in his arms and wrapped her legs around him. "Baby! I'm a' (4) heading for the light.......wanna come along?" Matt: "What light?.....Oh, God"........( he finally caught on!)....."Sunshine!! This is my office! Are you out of your mind?!" Sunshine unwrapped her legs ,walked over to the door and locked it. She turned around to face him......."Baby........**** or fight!"
Matt started laughing......"Okay...but please go easy.....last night you almost broke one of my ribs." Sunshine ushered him back to one of the cells....."don't you worry,darlin'....I'll (1) handle (you) with care."

A package was at her Doorstep. Marked only, (1) "Handle With Care". She picks it up. And gingerly takes it inside. She opens the contents. And sees an envelope at the top. Before checking out what was inside? she reads the Note.
(5) "It's the end of the line Baby!" A bit shocked, she paused a moment. To gather her thoughts about what could this note possibly mean. So she reads on.
"Baby, since I met you? I've been (4) heading for the light. I want you to know that you are (3) not alone anymore. It was only signed, `Last Night'.
She sits in her favorite chair. And remembers the gentleman that she had met at a Club, just the night before. She finally gets around to opening the box. And cautiously peeks inside.
For in the box, was a single Red Rose. Carefully laid amongst a bed of tiny pedals of other assorted Flowers.

My freind sent me a package that said "Hanlde with care", Last night. I was driving at the time, I opened it, and as i was heading for the light, I realized I was Not alone anymore. Beside me, with a big grin on his face was a Huge, Green toothed Leprechaun. He must've hopped out of the box, when I wasn't looking. He put his hand on my leg and softly whispered in my ear, "You're Not Alone Anymore, Big fella". I said, "I didn't know Leprechauns were gay...". He looked at me a moment longer and then dissapeared. When i got home, I thought back, As I sat alone in my tiny one bedroom apartment..." You know ...He was kinda cute!!"
And thus I learned the lesson, of how you don't kow what you have until it's gone!!....Sigh
