The three branches are the executive, the legislative, and the judicial all with powers of checks and balances to keep things in line. However, the executive or the president has the ultimate power of veto on any issues he feels unworthy of allowing. So make sure you vote for the presidential candidate who best represents your views. It wouldn't hurt if you took an English refresher course either.O.K.?
