I don't have a lot of spare time so I need just a basic one and also one that would require the least amount of time for which to prepare.

A+ is for help desk, that's it.
Check out the PMP and SMP exams. SMP is more general, cheaper, and web based. PMP is more difficult and requires an in person exam, but is a bit more widely known. Both are very good, I have both and have good success with each although I like the broad nature of the SMP.
