sI have had a daughter, and I look better now than I did before I had her. There are good things and bad, but it all depends on each individual. Some women can get stretch marks. Others get bigger boobs. For every woman after you have the baby your size (down there) remains the same. It takes 6 weeks to heal, but it goe back to the way it was. So for me the only bad thing was stretchmarks. I got a bigger butt, which I'm not complaining about and bigger boobs. I think that when it comes to bringing another life into this world if you are not wanting to have a baby because of a selfish thing like stretchmarks, then you are not mature enough or fit enough to have a baby anyway...I think most mothers will agree.

Wow, what a ridiculous question. Don't listen to your "buddy." He obviously has no respect for women. I bet if men had to have babies and care for them twenty four seven, then they wouldn't want to exercise right after having a baby. There just isn't enough time through out the day. Plus if you bug a woman about her appearance after giving birth, you can cause Postpartum Depression. It is serious. Plus if the man really loved the woman, then he will love her and support her NO MATTER WHAT CHANGES HAPPEN TO HER BODY! It is a given, if she dialates ten centimeters, then DUH, there is like a chance that her vagina is going to be a little bit different. Not like a male is going to even notice though. And hmmmm, her boobs get so huge from all the milk that comes in out of the middle of nowhere. So lets see, they may have stretch marks and yeah they might sag. And that isn't even counting the rest of her body that changes dramatically. Stretch marks everywhere from swelling and weight gain during pregnancy is completely normal. So if some guy thinks that a woman's body goes completely downhill after having a baby, then he needs to grow up. A real man would love his woman for carrying their baby for nine months, nourishing her and loving her. A real man would be more about enjoying the wonderful miracle of becoming a father as opposed to how she will look during and after. Jeez and some men wonder why the women don't want them in the birthing room....maybe because a bunch of you are so upsessed with looks. Like birthing a baby is going to be attractive.

If the decision to have a baby is based on the quality of a "virgina" afterwards then the answer is easy: don't have a child.
That is the last thing that you should be thinking about. You'll be responsible for caring for a living, breathing human being that relies 100% on YOU.
And, just so you know - I've never noticed one bit of a difference. Your buddy may have a small "issue."

well, if sex is not had 8 weeks after baby is born, then she will be almost as tight as a "Virgina". but when the abdomen of the woman starts to swell and stretch the skin, there are lotions that can prevent almost all stretch marks. coco butter i think is the best. as far as the eating for two, that doesn't really need to happen. the baby can feed off the calories and nutrients that the mothers body doesn't absorb and usually passes. so weight gain during, and weight loss after goes more smoothly if she doesn't eat for two adults when pregnant.

Your buddy has not a clue! No it doesn't ruin your body. I have had 3 kids and nothing is different with the vagina. Your buddy lives in a dream world. My guess he is a virgin as well. A womans body changes in it's build from having a child. Meaning her hips might get wider from the weight of the pregnancy. But, nothing changes with anything else. My libido is the same now as it was before having my first child. Your buddy needs to go back to elementary sex education all over again.

It depends on how the woman treats food and exercises during the pregnancy, it depends on genetics and what the woman does to get back into shape after pregnancy. Pregnancy doesn't have to take it's toll on the body. If there is a vaginal birth, there is usually an epesiotomy that is stitched back up. If there is a c section, then nothing happens to the vagina. Almost all women will have slightly bigger hips after wards. But most of the time they are in proportion to the body and look good. There are tons of things to use for stretch marks too. But, yes, you will never be the same after you give birth, not physically, mentally or spiritually.

I don't think it's the baby that ruins a woman figure. But that some tend to let themselves go. Since one has to eat healthy for the baby's sake. We tend to over indulge and that's what gets us into trouble. Once the weight has been gained. Between taking care of the baby and other things. One gets lazy and fat. But this doesn't hold true for all women. At some point some want a nice figure and make changes.

That's not true at all. I have two children and I am back to the same weight as I have been since high school (5'4" 98lbs.) However, some women gain weight and it becomes hard for them to get rid of the excess weight they got during the pregnancy, but with exercising and eating healthy, they can shed most, if not all the weight. The vagina is flexable and after having a baby, it goes back to its orignal size. Your friend is just full of it.

Sorta. But look at it this way--you have all those woman parts to produce babies.
I used to work with a very good-looking lady who quit to become a stay-home Mommy after her 4th. With each baby, she came back to work a little bigger around the middle, a little saggier on top, and oh, so much more beautiful! I call it the Mommy Look.
Another woman I answered like this a couple weeks ago, said, "Yeah!!! These are my battle scars, and I'm proud of 'em!"
The bad news is your body is going to go downhill sooner or later. You can do it as a proud Mom, or unfulfilled as a woman.

Go figure a MAN would say something so stupid! Yes, Stupid. A vagina is made to have a child. It goes back just the way it was. I had an episiotomy and it was just the same if not better, hee hee. Breasts are never quite as "perky" but that is trival and not even a comparable to having a child with someone you love!
