There will be a Check Engine Light... Then when you pull the code, it'll tell you the O2 sensor is bad....

A o2 sensor will make your car run rich or lean if it needs replaced but the engine will still run. The egr valve will cause your engine to shut off on you all the time when you stop.

Exhaust Gas Recirculating (EGR) Valve It is designed to allow some of the partially burnt gases to be recirculated back into the combustion cycle to be more thoroughly burned to get better gas mileage and cleaner exhaust
It generally will have an 'idiot' light light up on the instrument cluster, like a check engine light. They are not very hard to replace.

Yes, CHeck Engine light come on and get the code from auto part store. BUT CHECK THIS OUT>>>> lately I've had several people come by with that O2S code and I cleaned out their EGR valve and the inlet pipes and outlets really really good AND GUESS WHAT>>> fixed everything. seriously. so try that. it made a huge power diff. and greater gas mileage. don't buy that 150.00 sensor right away. do that first and then go from there. I hope this helps you. God BLess you.

Follow jeepster's instructions. A bad O2 code does not mean the sensor needs replacing. Most commonly an Emissions cleaning will fix the problem.

how many miles. have you cleaned the throttle body have you cleaned the egr valve and the passages. check your pcv valve all these things are emissions related. you can go to a garage and have them scan your computer to see what codes come up. and make a better decision with a little info
