i need help...dresswise
brands/styles please!
i want to find a cute dress, not too sexy, but not long either.
i want kind of a california ish dress to wear with beachy-sandals
casual, but not extremely preppy either
another style i would like is something thats not too provocative but works for going out dancing, something sexy but i wouldnt be ashamed to wear in front of my parents for example.

If you're looking for stores, try Target or Ross.
For styles, try a cotton sun dress with a large pattern and either sleeveless/spaghetti strap top. I think the ideal length would be a couple inches above the knees. Also experiment with bright colors and look for dresses with a really nice shape (hourglass). If you find one that you like but seems too plain, try adding a thick, plain belt around the waist or some lace at the bottom.
Fancy dresses are really just a matter of opinion, but I love silky, swishy material that moves well. It should also be a few inches above the knees. Try something with a ruched (that "wrinkled" look) waist or a belted waist, perhaps with a ribbon or sash, because that emphasizes a really nice shape in almost all women.
