The energy from a thunderstorm is wonderful, the flash of lightning, the sound of booming thunder and rhythm of the rain. The fresh smell and how all the green stuff almost glows, it's beautiful and cleansing.

I prefer a thunderstorm, I live in the city so after a snowstorm it's beautiful for about 5 minutes and then all you have is dirty snow and slush. I prefer a thunderstorm especially with lightning as long as I'm safely at home, it rumbles and grumbles (like some people I know) and lights up the sky and puts on quite a show. Once when I was flying and yes I was on a plane, there was a thunder and lightning storm, I had a window seat, almost everyone else was nervous and closed the window "shade," I watched, what a show right outside my window, it was amazing, I know by now you probably think I'm crazy, I'm not, I just figured I had no control over the situation, and I might as well enjoy the light show. Sometimes you just have to go with the flow. Also after a storm, everything smells fresh and clean.

Snowstorm. To me that's better than the power maybe going out during a thunderstorm. I'd rather make a snowman after the snowstorm and besides, someone else does the shoveling where I live.

They're both great!

I could just sit on my bed at night in front of my window just staring out at a thunderstorm for hourse but I just love to snuggle up with a good book and cup of hot coco during a snowstorm!

But probably a thunderstorm in the end:)
