dancing! I've seen some really cool stuff by kids.

It occurs to me that if an 8 year old boy wants to perform in a talent show he would have some idea of what he would like to do? I also think, as a parent, that he should take the initiative to find something first, even if he needs your help later to work on it for the talent show. Don't do it for him.

He could do a magic act (he could use a cute little classmate as his assistant), a comedy set, read a poem or funny monologue, do a karate demo, play an instrument, dance, any number things! We had one group do a mock news cast about the school with fake stories that included the principal & a few teachers. It was all in good taste and good fun and everyone loved it! Tell him to break a leg!

At my school talent show only half of the people sang, the other half danced. He can go to www.youtube.com and watch a dance to a song he likes, then do it for the talent show.
