Well, the dirtiest player in recent memory is Roy Williams. He's cleaned up a bit since they banned the horse-collar tackle though. The Denver offensive line is pretty dirty too. I'm a Chargers fan, and I'm tired of seeing the Denver o-line trying to hit people in the knees on every play. However, the dirtiest player I can remember is Bill Romanowski. That guy is totally dirty and he's also pretty crazy. Crazy in a bad way, not in a good way.

Sports Illustrated once wrote an article on this
it was a great read, they named the top 10 current dirtiest players (it was around 1997).......
but they said that Conrad Dobler was no doubt the dirtiest player ever
Bill Romonowski is recognized as the dirtiest player of this era

Once called football's "Criminal Element", Jack Tatum of the Oakland Raiders was by far the dirtiest player to play the game. Put countless receivers on the injured list and laid the hit on Darryl Stingley that paralyzed him forever. Never apologized in his life and was always mean and nasty.

Well, probably Bill Romo (all time) but recently the worst display of dirty play has got to be Albert Haynesworth he kicked Dallas center Andre Gurode in the face, twice because he got blocked.

Jack Tatum - Broke WR's in half if they decided to come over the middle. He also never backed down from a fight or a late hit.
Andre Waters - He hit so hard, he ended careers, what more?

Bill Romanowski easily, he would look up people he was going to play against in the next game and find bad info on them so he would get pissed off on them, so he would want to hurt them whenever he got close.
