How would that look for him as a Governer to give her a pardon? Does this happen regularly with politicians and celebrities?

She's got a right to ask, just like everyone else does. That doesn't necessarily mean Arnold will listen. Her being a celebrity and rich only means that Arnold probably knows who she is, perhaps even personally.

If Arnold's looking to run for another office after his term is up, then he'll probably ignore any request for a pardon from Paris because it would look bad, unless polls indicate people think 45 days for driving with a suspended license is excessive.

Personally, unless Paris were stopped for DUI while driving with a suspended license, I would consider commuting the sentence to two weeks, maybe even only one week, plus a hefty fine equal to at least the amount of money she would make in 21 days. However, definitely would not give her a free pass.

It would be horrible if he gave her a pardon 'cause she needs to learn 2 not be stupid and not drink and drive. I mean she could've hit a child my dog got hit by a weird driver but hes ok offside the point Paris better get send off 2 jail were she belongs

No I wouldn't pardon her. It's just jail it's not the guillotine for Pete's sake. I feel sorry for her but not sorry enough to pardon her. Besides, doesn't the Governor have better things to attend to?

The governor has the discretion to give pardon under the applicable laws but it will affect his credibility for favoring celebrities as against ordinary persons.

She shouldn't be jailed for driving on a suspended licensce on probation. People who do worse crimes get house arrest. She is not my cup of tea but she deserves equal justice and just cause she is a celeb doesn't mean the out of line judge should make an example of her. The governator already looks like a schmuck. just listen to one of his speeches.

Arnold has been a good Governer so far, so i doubt he would do something so ignorant as to let her slide. she just a pretty rich stick and deserves jail time.

Paris needs a dose of disipline she was deprived of as a child. Arnold would be doing her a huge favor to ignore her.

He shouldn't pardon her, she needs to be accountable for her actions like everyone else that has had a DUI, do your time, learn from your mistake. its only fair.

i do like her though, but she needs to stop being taken care of. She is an adult.

i dont know but i honestly dont agree with sending paris to jail.its not that i like her ,its just you have to consider the facts.
shes paris hilton.even if shes tough enough to fight for herself(which she probably isnt),she has no chance of staying alive in the LA county jail.someone will kill her just to be able to say "i killed paris hilton".
i dont think a driving ofense makes her deserve that
