I get so tired of the rich thinking they are above the law. The law applies to all. I don't follow Paris Hilton's info, but when I heard she wants her fans to post signed petitions to get her out, it made me laugh. Do the crime do the time!!!

I completely agree. I think that Paris needs to get off of her high horse, if it were anyone else, the sentence would have been the same. No, Paris did not hurt anyone, but if she were to drive a car drunk again, who says she couldn't?
She needs to own up to her responsibilities and admit that she's done wrong and pay the price. If she fancies herself as such a role model, the best way to make an example to young girls is to accept responsibility rather than skirt around the consequence.
She should just serve her time (or how ever long they end up keeping her), chalk it up to experience, learn from her mistake, and not do it again.

She deserves to go to jail and she is not above the law. If this was one of us we would be given the same if not a harsher setence. She violeted her probation and tried to lie saying she never knew her license was suspended BUT that is no excuse, it is your responsibility to know what you sign and to do what a judge orders you to do not your publicists or anyone else. She needs to spend some time in jail even if she gets released early because the jails are overcrowded. Oh and her fans are morons if they think she shouldnt have to do any time or be held accountable for what she did.

Hell yeah, celebrities are human beings merely like us. fortunately for each individual else.. We arent spoiled to the extremes like a number of them. Paris probably merits an prolonged sentence than merely 40 days or regardless of that's. 60 might've been... suited. Wouldnt that be a shame if she didnt study something from this adventure? LOL

I agree! She's a spoiled rotten brat who is completely delusional! She broke the law and should pay the price since the average joe would have to! And what moron would be a fan of hers or see her as a "role model". She's a complete waste of space!
