What makes celebrities any more important than the accountant that does your taxes or the single mom working 2 jobs to support her kids....I think those people are much more worthy of peoples admiration.

Why would a admire a single mom working 2 jobs if I didn't tell her to have kids....because she could be sitting home on welfare, she is taking responsibilty for her actions and not sitting around waiting for someone to rescue her...maybe admire was a strong word though..how about respect?

I agree, to the extent that I don't own a TV and rarely see or hear anything about celebrities.

I have been following the Hilton story abit I suppose, (it's hard not to hear about it), I accually heard that Paris' mother said," I can't believe this is happening to us, after all the money we have spent!", I heard this and it made me feel sick to my stomach, it was as if she thought just because they are rich that they can just pay their way out of anything. I dont think it is just celebrities that feel this way, but all of high society, and the worst part of it is, most of the time I believe they can get away with these crimes by throwing money at it, it is really sad. Celebrities ah yes thats people who have become famous for doing absolutely nothing but prancing about in front of the cameras, these days most of the so called celebrities fit this discription to a T (thats T for to**ers). They need a reality check not a reality programme, they have no concept of the law as money has bought them everything they want.

The old fashioned true celebrities have far more dignity and have usually worked hard to achieve celebrity status, they don't behave in this way.

Because everybody treats celebrities like they're God's gift to the world. It's stupid, but that's how fame works. (and why should I admire a single mom working two jobs? I didn't force her to have those kids. It's not like you need to have kids so they can work on a farm or anything)
