In most states, the buyer can occupy the home immediately after closing. You can make arrangements with them to rent the place back but do it NOW or else you may find your stuff on the street.

No, you do not have to let them in. Only a court can order you to move, until you receive a vacate date from a court you do not have to move. If you do receive a vacate order you can still go to the courthouse and go before a judge and ask for more time. From my experience you have a lot of time, months if not more.

By sales date, I presume you mean the closing date. Unless other arrangements have been made in advance, you are expected to have the premises vacated prior to closing. Hence, your time to move is just about up.
