You will need the security code for the radio to reactivate it. The code is specific to your radio. the code would be on a white plastic card about the size of a credit card and would have been given to you when you bought the car. If you can't find the card with your paperwork, there are three other things to do.

the first is to look inside your glove box for a white sticker. The sticker would be about 1 inch long and 1/2 inch high and it will have two rows of numbers. the upper number should be 5 digits and that is your anti-theft code. the lower number would be the serial number for the radio. Many dealers put the sticker in the glove box; if its not there, look behind the ashtray if the car has one or on the underside of the deck (trunk) lid. Those are the most common places to find the sticker.

If you can't find the sticker, you may be able to retrieve the serial number for the radio by doing the following: with the ignition key turned ON (you don't have to start the car) and the radio OFF, hold the station select buttons numbers 1 & 6 in with your right hand. Then, with your left hand turn the radio ON. A series of 5 charactors will be shown on the display release the 1 & 6 buttons, then write the numbers down. the first set of five charactors will start with the letter U. Then the display will change to another 5 characters starting with the letter L. the display will cycle back and forth between the two sets of numbers. When you have the numbers recorded, shut the radio OFF and turn the ignition key OFF. Call your Honda dealer and give them the 10 numbers--those numbers are the serial number for your radio. They can then go into Honda's on-line system to get you the radio code.

If you can't retrieve the serial number that way, then the radio has to be removed to get the serial number. The serial number is on the back of the radio. Same deal as above--you need to give the serial number to a Honda dealer to get the reactivation code.

hope that answers your question

If it is stock, it has an anti-theft system built in it. If you have the owners manual it would be in it or the papers that came with it. If not, contact a dealer and give them your vin# and they should be able to look it up for you.

if it's a stock?..don`t you think it`s time for a upgrade?..unless the car is still in warranty and all that...by all means...take it to the honda dealership you got it from...and start making demands..just kidding..good luck!
