I'm using an OPK for the first time this cycle. I tested positive on Friday. We BD'd Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. Should I throw in Tuesday? How many days after you test positive are you supposed to get busy? :))

You should have sex as soon as you get a positive result. Sperm can live for a few days and the tests look for the LH surge which occurs within 36 hours of ovulation.

You should have sex as soon as you get a positive and keep it for a few days. However, the most reliable method of knowing exactly when its best to have sex to acheive pregnancy is to chart your basal body temperature, your cervical fluid and take opk's. The temp tells you when you have officially ovulated and if you have become pregnant if you see 18 consecutive high temps. The cervical fluid tells you EXACTLY when you are fertile and tells you to start having sex as soon as you see eggwhite cervical fluid. The opk's tell you only right in time for the egg to release, but your own natural fertility signs tellyou a few days before and if you follow these signs your chances of conception are greatly higher. cut out all this tracking you will never get pregnant this way. just have fun and relax it will happen when it happens. you have made sex a chore you wont get pregnant like this sorry
