Good:
1. It's very pretty
2. It probably IS very secure. It won't even let ME do anything that might be harmful
3. In 5 years, a computer might actually be able to run it well.
Bad:
1. It won't work on your computer if it is more than two years old, despite whatever system requirements you might hear.
2. 45 percent of the programs out there today won't run on it, or don't work properly.
3. It comes in "editions", each more expensive then the previous. I can build a new computer cheaper than Vista Ultimate costs.
4. A lot of hardware doesn't have Vista drivers available for it. Though this is mostly the fault of the manufacturers, not Microsoft.
5.Microsoft is using it to try to kill off XP. XP will become the new Windows 98, I guarantee it. Most people simply won't have the money to upgrade to Vista.
6. Few programs, games included, are available that couldn't be run on XP. Even when the new games come out that use DX 10, only Microsoft will make sure they only run on Vista.

Good points:---
Not many !!! Currently just a pretty interface !
Bad points:---
Little driver support for exisiting USB devices
Huge system overheads to get it running properly
Currently no improvement over XP
Wait for July (supposedly when 1st upgrade available from Microsoft), or wait until the full Service Pack 2 (or whatever it will be called) is released.
Whatever you do, don't get a computer with Vista pre-installed !!

Good
-New Operation System
-Better Graphic Interface
-Support multiple screen(Asus Inc. laptops currently)
-Hot Corners and other previous mac functions
Bad
-Most all abilities emulated in XP
-Cost of money
-Better graphics means you need a graphics card
-Everything if moved from XP
-different organization
-Problems still in Vista because of errors not found by beta-testers.
-Not everything is currently compatible in Vista. Can't successfully upgrade to vista because of upgrading errors to vista.
-Most all computers currently have it pre-installed.

well seeing they've created a new operating system which if people want the have to upgrade there systems. is stupid.
Vista is slow, and most of all, uses major memory process.
