The latest Reader's Digest says Angelina Jolie is saving the World one child at a time?

Would you feel better about that if both her and Madonna's children weren't absolutely gorgeous children? I mean, I would like to see them adopt one with a hair lip or a club foot or one of the ones that are truly forsaken. I don't know, I guess even at that it is o.k. but, I just get a funny feeling like they almost think they are cute puppies or something.

Angelina adopted children who were orphaned. Yes I also noticed they are healthy and good looking, but she is a globe trottin' mama. Imagine having to grow up with Shiloh while being deformed, I can't believe a child would appreciate that.
Also, children up for adoption already have the stigma of having something wrong with them, by being so high profile with beautiful adopted children she is showing potential families that they can find a healthy child in the system.
If you recall her adopted daughter was the child of a woman who had aids, and was extremely mal nourished and close to death when they picked her up. That she is so happy, healthy, and gorgeous is a testament to what a good home she went to.

When I first read your question my response was to say I concur... in fact I had expressed as much a few weeks ago.

But having read Sarah's answer, I may have to reconsider. Or at least not be so hasty to consider the more cynical possibility.

I thought just the opposite, at least she adopted babies of a different races other than white. Most people are racist and only want to adopt white babies. I'm so happy that she didn't remain so closed minded and adopted a Cambodian and African baby. Did you know that black babies are the last to be adopted here in the US?

The readers of Reader's Digest are all "Pollyanna" types. Secondly, both of these women are so weird-I think they are doing it for publicity.
