What are 3 qualities you look for in a friend and why?

I was just wondering, what are your top 3 qualities and explain why they are so importantto you?

Trust....even in a friendship it is the most important quality. You don't want to have to worry about the secrets or personal things you told him/her leaking out to whoever....

Understanding....I definitely need friends around me who are understanding. I am NOT an easy person to be friends with so those who are, have to understand my little moods.

Honesty....Again, even in a friendship you need someone who is going to tell you the truth, even if it hurts.

They should have real confidence. From my experience, when I befriend insecure people, they end up competing with me or being dishonest eventually- such as hitting on my bf. There's nothing wrong if you are. We just can't be friends.

I feel once the confidence is there, honesty, and trust follow.

You must have a sense of humor too. I like poking fun at most things. There's nothing better than laughing with friends.

Honesty- That goes along with being able to trust them and vise versa.

Humor- Having a good sense of humor is important in my opinion

Kindness- It's not too good for the self esteem to have a friend bring ya down, So it's good to look for someone who'll treat you right :)

well i think that it depends on who you are...for me the qualities that i look for is...

trust, because many people in life have lost that from me and it make it hard for me to trust them so if they can earn my trust then they most be good friends cause that is hard.

humor, i like to make jokes so having a friend that laughs about them and can moke some on thier own is good.

caring, i have been throught some awful things and so a friend that cares about me and listens and helps and shows that they love me is the best quality i think that anybody can have

What i look for in a true friend are thaes qualities accepting of me,2 unselfishness 3 someone who can love me as well

Understanding- Sometimes I have problems too (I listen to a lot of problems) and I want to be able to talk to somebody about them.
Nice- I don't like mean people, and I don't think being mean is funny.
Someone I click with- This last one is not really a characteristic, but oh well. I don't really go friend shopping, so my friends are just what they are, people who want to be friends with me and who I want to be friends with, and who I enjoy spending time with.

If they are caring becasue you need to know if they will be there for you.. same reason with being understanding. And if they are not a backstabber. If they backstab you then you might need to consider finding a new friend. If thety backstab you then that just shows you that they are not a loyal friend, and a loyal friend is one that you want.

Honesty & trust (it goes hand n hand) - If you can not trust them what's the use of having them around

Love - A true friend cares and will be there for you

Honesty - You need honesty in a friendship. You need to know that no matter what your friend will tell you like it is even if you don't want to hear it.

Loyalty - You need to know that your friends have your back. That you can count on them to stand up for you - to fight for you.

Why: do u really want a friend that u cnt tell secrets to. Or a friend who never has any laughter or spark in her life. And honestly do u want to be around someone who is completly BORING?!?!?!?!
