l. We are all looking for fame 2. We like to watch the common "joe/Jane" do whatever and imagine that is ourselves 3. A dream of winning big bucks is always nice 4. That we are sick of all those cop shows 5. And that is very hard tonot watch a train wreck. We just can't help ourselves - I personally am addicted to Survivor, Amazing Race -- can't wait for Big Brother - love Little people, Big World - just can't stop watching -lol -k-

I think this is an excellent question as far as reality tv goes and I really think it says that our society is just looking for the next big entertainment gig. Producers have to come up with so many different reality shows too make money. Movies are not what they use to be and our society full of celebrities from these types of entertainment shows alone.

Some people like to watch reality television it because they don't have a life themselves, and those who participate in the reality shows want their 15 minutes of fame.

I think we all have some voyuerism in our blood. We actually want to SEE how others live. I thing I like about "reality tv" is that it opened people's eyes to see that just because people look beautiful on the outside (look at all the reality tv men and women -- beautiful) doesn't mean that they are like that INSIDE. We get to see (often on hidden camera and behind closed doors) how dirty (literally) they are!! They lie, cheat, sleep around, steal, gossip, and the list goes on....all with the cameras are ON!! Now imagine when they are off!!
That is why I like to watch it -- before reality tv people just ASSUMED how beautiful those people were!!

It indicates that no television writer is having any really good ideas, for new shows. I suppose that a certain element of society can be coaxed to appear on a reality show, but I wouldn't want to be embarrassed, on Jerry Springer.

We'd rather see other people's pain than deal with our own. All reality shows have some sort of drama, and not the good kind. Someone's always breaking down, crying, fighting, cheating, getting hurt, etc.

i don't like many reality tv shows as i think that they're pathetic and most of them just manipulate and humiliate the contestants and to me it says that todays society are cheap and easily amused mostly at others expense, but hey thats just my opinion and everyone has a different opinion

I think people like myself enjoy reality TV because it's an escape from the real world.

I think it's very sad that every time you turn the channel it's another reality show. It seem to be the latest craze but I don't enjoy most of them.
