That sounds like a disease. The fish isn't blind, it's ill. I suggest looking for a good fish medication to treat cloudy eyes. The disease could be due to a gram-negative infection.
I would suggest immediate removal of the fish unless it is already alone and treat it with a good medication for eye cloudiness. It won't be difficult to find. One common treatment for the disease that is common is triple sulfa by API. I can't recommend it because I have never used it, but it's other products work very well. Good luck with your fish and hope he/she heals.

Use IckGuard or other brands that contain malachite green as active ingredient. Use as recommended on the label. DONT OVERDOSE! Change 60 % of the water after three days of treatment and see how the fish does. If the fish doesn't do better repeat the treatment. You can find IckGuard in your local petshop

sure. i think. most things can go blind.

maybe he is tired and dose not want to move from the bottom of the tank, or maybe he is sleeping.

all of these suggestions are just for fun if you really want answers go to your vet or try to call a vet.

Sounds more like a disease, like a fungus. Your fish is probably doomed ...sorry! Fish usually go blind from this, but they don't last much longer after that.

Sorry to say this to you...but it seems like your goldfish is dying. That's how mine did. Then i did a little research to find out why, and it said that i didnt put it in enough sunlight. Before u give up hope....you might want to try what i did. (the sunlight part) i hope it lives!

PS: if it is starting to trun a little white or greyish around its body....you'll want to put in sunlight RIGHT AWAY!

I had two big goldfish that had that same problem...I think they were blind because I had to feed them directly and they always stayed in the same spot....

I had a goldfish that was like that. Then his eye fell out and I had to feed him by hand.
