I 've heard that Seattle is one of the best places for theater and would like to know which theaters are having auditions for 2007 fall plays or musicals. Any suggestions?

There are a few professional theatres in Seattle proper but you'll find more regional theatre activity in the surrounding suburbs such as Bellevue, Renton, etc. Check out Performer's Callboard (link below) - a listing service for Seattle area auditions. For example, 5th Avenue Playhouse just posted their upcoming general auditions on this list. Check it out and "break a leg" breaking into the theatrical scene in the Emerald City!

You can try looking on http://www.actorsequity.org/castingcall/ or backstage.com and do a casting search for that area. You can also look up individual theatres. Many of them post audition info on their own websites.
