Does taking a shower within an hour after tanning really wash that day's tan away? Does one need to wait at least 48 hours between sessions to reduce the risk of skin damage? What's a great lotion (not self tanner)?

doesn`t really matter when u shower after tanning, as u can`t "wash" it off, the color is in your skin...the only exception would be if u use a lotion that contains a bronzer, then u would want to wait a couple of hours til it has been absorbed into your skin...i tan daily, so i don`t know about the 48 hour thing, most salons restrict u to 1 session every 24 hours..."hot tottie" by pro tan is my personal favorite lotion...it`s a tingle lotion, so very powerful!!!

you will have best results if you do wait for an hour of more after tanning, I really don't know why this is. No you don't need to wait 48 between tanning sessions, the way I figure it the sun damages your skin too and has been found to do even more damage than the bulbs. your question about lotion depends on what you like to use, if your new at tanning I suggest an accellerator like Aust. Gold with out a bronzer. I my self have about 4 different lotions that I alternate each time I tan, you get a much better tan that way. Finding a lotion can be tough, the cheaper ones are just that. Stick with the brand names like designer skin, supre etc. Since I have been tanning for sometime now I have tried almost all of them without bronzers (I hate bronzers) I like the ones with the tingle. I am also a certified tanning tech. Hope this answers your questions.

i shower about an hour after my tanning sessions and i am still getting darker so i think that is fiction. If you want to know a good indoor tanning lotion i would use anything by california tan i especially like bronze bling and rich sexy tan.

Olay Quench. it has a little self-tanner in it but besides that it REALLY does work. the skin becomes sily satin.
i dont think showering should matter since the spray on should last for weeks
