i got my period the morning of a calss trip to a water park so i used a tampon and i loved it so i keeped using them
is it weird that i have never used a pad?
has any one else never used a pad?

tampons are way better, and in fact healthier in the sense that you don't have that moisture pressed against you. it is a literal breeding ground for bacteria and infections and can smell baaad. tampons are way easier to hide, can wear them with any type of panties, more comfortable, less messy and easier to dispose of. i tried pads once for about 15 minutes and i said screw that and never have worn one since.
and good choice on the tampon at the water park. i used to be friends with a girl who wore pads with her bathing suit. wings and all. it was just..disgusting.

actually, I am the opposite, I have never used a tampon before. I don't know, although pads feel like diapers sometimes and can get a little icky, I know they are safe. I heard so much with tampons, people getting sick wearing tampons in for to long. There are some people I know that have forgotten they even had one in! It weird I'll be 19 this year, which marks me having my period for 10 years, and not once have I used a tampon. Maybe I will in lyke another 10 years, when I not so afraid, I guess

No, it's not weird, its all really personal preference. Although i started out with pads, I'd coose tampons over pads any day. =]

That's what I do. Pads are icky. Sometimes you even forget you're on your period when you wear tampons. Yay tampons! :-D

I used to wear them every time I got my period, but then I tried them and now only use them. I think they're great because I don't have to sit in all of that nasty stuff.

i only use them too. But apparently its not very good for you. You shouldn't wear them to sleep b/c if you accidentally dont get up in time, you could get the Toxic shock thing. So if i were you, I would wear one to sleep, but other than that, it doesnt matter as long as you take it out in time

yes, it seems so much cleaner and neater to use a tampon. pads are messy
