I was watching some Martha Stewart today and she was going on about scrapbooking. She said something like "They didn't want to come down and eat food because they wanted to scrapbook and sew!" Then there was some lady on the phone that said, "I've been scrapbooking for about 2 years! I'm ADDICTED!!!" I changed the chanel because I couldn't watch that crap anymore.

What is it and why do 56 year old menopausal women love it so much?

If you are creative, or like digital art, try checking this site out for digital scrapbooking..... digitaldesignden.com It will be open on June 1, 2007 and there are lots of people to help you. It is NOT boring and yes, can be addictive. Digital scrapping is all the thing these days.

By the way, I've been scrapping since about the age of 10 [30+ years ago] and I treasure the books I did then... I remember friends, events [concerts, parties, etc], and just my life, the way it was....

Scrapbooking is the art of combining photos, memorabilia and "telling the story" in a scrapbook style album. Scrapbooking has been around as long as there have been photos, but the scrapbooking that has evolved in recent years is new and different. Scrapbooking is a creative outlet with endless supply of techniques, ideas, and products. Scrapbooking is for all ages but may not be for everyone.

Scrapbooking is a way to express creativity so that's a big part of the appeal. There's also a considerable social factor. Martha is interested because there are big bucks to be made in this industry and she just released her own line of products.

Scrapbooking is art for people with no talent. Specifically, it is the fatherless child of graphic design and printmaking, two perfectly respectable arts in their own right. You see, not everyone can make art, but most people still feel those creative urges, and the abomination that is scrapbooking meets that need.

Scrapbooking is a craft for people who have never heard of photo albums and enjoy destroying photographs.

I have no idea why people get such a kick out of a fancy piece of paper with photos glued to it. A memory is a memory. I don't need a fancy piece of paper or stickers or captions or cut outs or edging to remind me of how much I loved my grandfather... In fact I personally feel it cheapens the memories by trying to "enhance" them and "decorate" them.

And now I suppose everyone is going to give me thumbs down for having a negative opinion of scrapbooking hahaha...

it is tricky to not positioned your husband in the midsection right here. He has to choose for regardless of the indisputable fact that: harm a marriage for the sake of beautiful his mom... or compromise and positioned mom in a house. rather regardless of the indisputable fact that, he has to cut back the strings and enable mom guard herself or be dealt with. on your concern it is straining your courting and you do not would desire to handle somebody who's sickly and accusing you of mistreating her. She sounds inappreciative and would desire to be dealt with accurately.
