Everyday i see many of cars which has a red sticker with no. on it. What is that for?

mostly the numbers are 5,10&11. im just curious, i live in California bay area.

These stickers are for people who can't get their car registation. these are just temp. It just gives them extra time to get their car fixed so it will pass smog.

I think what you're seeing might be parking permits...I know my mother used to work for Santa Clara County, and she had a sticker that sounds very much like what you have described.

im from louisiana and a red sticker means they didnt pass the state inspection
