Kobe... ftw
too clutch...too dominant he can take over anytime he wants. He doesn't play well with the Laker team he has now and comes off as a selfish ballhogger only because no one else is reliable enough to make shots. If I had a shot to put him on another team with possibly another star to take some of the offensive burden, i would draft kobe in a heartbeat. Some say Steve Nash is a must-have but i would go for Steve Nash only if i had a running team exactly like the Phoenix Suns to put him on because he is only dominant when he has someone good to play with.
Lebron James would be a good choice if he had developed a little more, but i want to win championships right now or as soon as possible and i can do that with Kobe + a good team. Lebron may take a couple years to mature into the unstoppable force he is undoubtedly destined to be. So for the moment, i will take kobe bryant.

Even though I think Tim Duncan is the best player since Jordan retired...and my all-time favorite player, I'd have to pick LeBron James. Dude is only 22 right now, so young. He can average 28, 7, 7, which is phenomenal. If he improves on his outside shooting, he will be an all-time top 5 player. He can drive and pass with the best of them, he just needs to develop an outside shot, then he will be unstoppable (by the way, I hate LeBron James, he is just that good)

Tim Duncan. He has led the Spurs to 3 Championships in 8 years without anyone on his team as good as Shaq, Kobe or D Wade. He makes his team better both offensively and defensively and he works the refs better than anyone else in the league.

LeBron James
already one of the best players in the league with much more yet to come and is only 22 years of age. He's breaking every record for his age and has the most prime left out of any legit star in the league.
He can carry your team for the next 15 years and he scores, rebounds, and passes the ball well so you can fit him in anywhere and he can play with any type of player or strategy.

Steve Nash. You can give him a team of rookies and they can sit at .500. He was the reason the Suns are what they are. LeBron can't shoot free throws, and is even worse in the clutch. Duncan can't shoot free throws either. Nowitski choked and now my precious Mavs are done. No one can replace Steve Nash's passing abilities.

Kobe Bryant. Can score on any player and plays tough defense. LeBron can score and pass, but doesn't play D. Wade plays good defense, but doesn't have as much range on his shot as Kobe.

steve nash..rofl
i think i would choose either Dwight Howard or Amare Stoudamire
these are two young centers who will dominate the nba in about 5 years. big men are hard to come about and these two are solid choices

It's a toss up between K.G. and Nash. Both players make everyone else around them better.
