Do I need to purchase one with larger memory to store more music on my phone. Or am I doing something wrong here? I'm a bit thick in the computer/phone wizardry department!

I'll probably go with purchasing a bigger memory card, but I would like to know how to compress these files for future reference, so could anyone tell me in simple terms how to do it. Thanks.

The average song uses about 4mb. If you want 250 tracks on your phone you'll need a 1gb card... etc.

22 songs (say 3 minutes each) at 128kps is about 66 meg, so that's probably what you've got. If you rip them at 64 kps you'll get about twice as many, with a little loss in quality. At 32kps again twice as many but you'll notice the poor quality. Have a look at the options in your ripping program ant try some variations. NB variable rate doesn't often work.

this relies upon on the size and streeming cost of the mp3 music. a typical music of five min. @ ninety six kbps will take upto 4.seventy 5 MB of area. and 1GB = 1024 MB. now u can self calculate. i think of Nokia is extra advantageous for u. U can choose any sort of memory card yet verify for that's guarantee and function first.

compress your mp3s to store more tracks on your memory card. though quality of sound is sacrificed.
