It really depends on how thick and dark your hair comes in. I have been getting it done and still going for treatments. It can hurt, surprisingly, but if the pain is too bad then your doctor will probably give you a cream that numbs your skin for a little bit and it really does help. I use it. The pain feels like little rubber bands snapping, and doesnt last long. Where are you getting it done? I get my legs and bikini area done and they are sensitive.

Yes it does. They make a gel you can get to numb the area before you get the treatment. That helps but you have to apply it at least a hour before. The pain is bearable you can take it... but it does hurt. They are using a laser to fry your hair follicles. It doesn't feel good. The treatments do work though. I have had several areas done now. I am very happy with the results. Good luck!!

It hurts if the lazer gets hot on your skin and starts to burn.

My friend yesterday was telling me she got it done. It stung a little bit, but was not very painful. It depends on the area of the body they are doing too. They basically first shave the area and then laser remove the hair.

Definitely not. It just burns a little after a while. But I'm usually extremely sensitive but I don't feel like it hurts. It's better than an electrolysis or waxing. It's less painful than that. So it's your best bet.

yes i heard it can be sensitive for days or even weeks. Make sure you apply cream and lotion that the doctor will prescribe to you in order to reduce inflamation and tenderness and do not rub it too hard or itch the surface. Let it heal up on its own and with the help of the medication.

Yes. It is like getting a huge rubber band snapped on your skin.

Only until you go numb... then you get to look forward to the soreness after the numbness fades away... But of course it's worth it to be hairless! HAHA!
