President Bush the elder is supposed to have been a pretty good first baseman in college, and the younger once was an owner of the Rangers. They're a baseball family, and explaining it to the Queen, who probably knows a bit about cricket but nothing about baseball, seems natural enough.

We invented the game, it's called Rounders or Stick Ball here, America re-branded it and thinks that makes it an all American game, now that's funny!
