Yow, all you need to do is connect the Router to your laptop just as you would with a desktop. No difference, dude.

You need some admin access to configure it. If everything works out of the box from the ISP then im sure you dont have WPA setup. Any computer should work, or configure it somewhere were you have a computer and plug it in.

If you have a laptop, you can still configure your router. You just need to plug directly into it with an ethernet cable.

I found out that once i had to register my router with my Internet provider (Insight communications) to register you have to call your Internet provider And to connect it to your computer either use a wireless Internet card or through a LAN line.

i take it your setting up a router for wirless if so go buy a lan card borrow a frends laptop pc with a lan card
