I don't want to be a vet (I can't give shots or kill animals or see them die), or a trainer of any sort, and I want to get paid enough to support myself, my 6 pets, and my horse. Also, I don't want to do TOO much more than 4 years of college, I would do a few extra years.

You could.......

Start a pet store.

Set up a not-for-profit foundation to rescue animals.

Work for the government in enforcement, i.e. animal control.

Become a park ranger.

Ok I am tapped out. As the son of a vet, it really isn't a bad living. Yeah you have to give shots and euthanize the animals, but isn't it preferable that someone with a love of animals is doing the deed?

Biology, Zoology, each degree takes 4 years if you take 15 credits per semester.

work at a stable or race track. be a vet tech or aide. work at an animal shelter. or a pet store.
