It just seems like when I was a kid and the people I knew in thier twenties seemed much more mature than these days.

Yes I do and as a Mother of a 21 year old Daughter, it makes me crazy that she just doesn't seem to get it yet. She has made so many of the mistakes that I made when I was 15ish. I wish she would understand that it is time to grow up and take on responsibility.

I am 20 and I think I am very mature for my age, but as for others in general I think are very immature. I don't see a lot of mature people until they hit their 30's or 40's. Just depends on the person I suppose.

I know some people do. I am in my 20's and I'm mature most of the time. I don't go out partying or anything like that. I'm settled in a full time job, going to college full time and am married. I do like to let loose once in a while and be immature...I like to do that on Y! answers!
I know my sister would not grow up. She got pregnant at 17 and would pawn her kids off on me so she could go party. It's sad really.

Not all of us, but many for sure. There are quite a few of us twentysomethings with families who are simply sick and tired of the way things are working in the world and we plan on doing something about it. With that said, we also try to have a sense of humor about life because if we don't, we'll just end up bitter and/or depressed I'm sure.

I honestly don't know. I think I'm pretty mature, but I have 3 kids, so I have to be. If I didn't have kids, I think I would still be acting like a teen.

Absolutely, but not all of them. I'm 23 and thats the main reason why I rarely socialize with people my own age, I have nothing in common with them because they haven't grown up yet. I have even known quit a few people in their 30's that are like that too.

our teen years always seem like such a burden when they are here but as soon as you getinto your twenties you realize that it was the greatest time of your life. Why not be a little Peter Pan from time to time. I wish I was eighteen again because I wouldn't spend all of my time remembering when.

Hell, I'm fifty and still act like a teenager. So, yea, I suppose they [the twenty somethings] may very well act like teenagers as well.

not me at least but i know some people that are older than me that act like there ten so yeah sometime i think that, but i think i just might be a little more mature than others, but i don't know i know what ya mean though

I'm only 17, but it seems to be that I'm more mature than many people in their twenties are, which is a shame.
